I was recently asked to make a time-lapse for a company who were sponsoring an event in Ghent. The company just happens to be my favourite brewery and then event was a drive-in movie.
The event was the last in a series of drive-in events organised by CirQ , DOK and Cinemobiel

The video was shot from 2 locations, one was perched 30 metres up on the old concrete works building located at one end of the dock and the other was in top of a 9 metre mast. The video is also made at one of the hardest times of day, sunset. Recording a time-lapse film at this time of day causes a headache when exposing the shots. Fading from bright sunshine to darkness the camera’s light metering systems are working overload to keep things in balance. Normally a time-lapse is recorded with exactly the same exposure time and setting for every frame, this job took some trickery to get right.
